In some accounts of world history, it is believed that Atombits were the first living beings and the creators of planets. According to legend, they lost their powers and allies, which caused them to split into two large groups: those who chose to live and those who chose to hibernate and wait for their powers to return. Over the next several thousand years, the Atombits that chose to live evolved into subspecies such as Mambits, Floralbits, Geobits, and Aquabits, and later Flamebits during the Civil War era. These subspecies were said to have evolved from Atombits. Nowadays, Atombits are rare and elusive creatures. Some believe that finding an Atombit is a stroke of great luck.
Kanbits are also notable for their distinctive fur, which is thick and soft to the touch. Their fur comes in a range of colors, including browns, grays, and creams, with some individuals displaying patterns such as spots or stripes. The fur is essential for regulating body temperature and protecting them from the elements, and many Kanbits take great care in grooming their fur to keep it clean and healthy. While they are primarily herbivorous, Kanbits have been known to occasionally consume insects and other small animals. They are also highly social creatures and tend to live in groups.

According to the lore surrounding this species, Flamebit is said to be the spiritual embodiment of Mambit and Aquabit, two subspecies of the larger group that were united and reborn through a divine process.
