WORLD OF KANIMAS | TERMS OF SERVICE!
Please read this document thoroughly to avoid any misunderstandings. If you do not read the T.O.S. in its entirety, it is still your responsibility should you violate any agreements or rules in this T.O.S. More rules and terms will be added as we see fit as the group grows, so make sure to check back every so often!
GENERAL
- Be polite and respectful to admins, moderators, and all other members.
- Avoid purposefully inciting arguments or drama within the group.
- Don't argue with any of the admins, mods, or helpers when they say a decision is final.
- Don't attempt to evade bans by making new accounts or enlisting others to harass users.
- Don't make a callout journal for anyone still in the community who have not been banned or have not scammed or hurt anyone.
- Don't ask users to remove designs from their favorites.
- If you have a problem with something a user said or did, contact the moderators or staff.
- Report any issues with similar designs to the moderators or staff rather than harassing other members.
- Don't attack others for using a similar concept in their design, contact a mod or staff.
PAYMENTS
- All purchases must be made through PayPal and with USD, unless otherwise stated. Other accepted payment methods include DeviantArt points and group currency.
- When participating in an auction, please only bid if you have available funds equal to your highest bid. Place your bid within the designated comment chain on the auction page.
- If you plan to bid over the designated amount, please discuss payment plans with the auction host before placing your bid. Note that payment plans are not guaranteed and are subject to the seller's personal rules and comfort.
- Prices are non-negotiable, and payment must be made within 48 hours of purchasing, unless otherwise stated.
- If you require a hold or payment plan, please message the auction host for confirmation before bidding. You must also pay any required down payments after the auction ends.
TRADING, GIFTING AND RESELLING
- The character cannot be sold for a higher price than what it was purchased for.
- Trading Kanima characters, including MYOs, adopts, and gatchas, for other Kanimas, closed or open species, one-off designs, art, customs, etc., is allowed.
- Art trades and personal art can add value to the Kanima, but it must be of fair quality and not a low-quality quick sketch. Gift art or fan art does not add to the value.
- Gifting or trading Kanima characters to others is permitted.
- Co-ownership is not allowed. Each Kanima character must have only one owner, and the ownership on the masterlist account is considered the current owner.
- If a Kanima has alternative forms, all forms must be traded together to prevent issues with multiple users owning the same design.
- To transfer ownership, the latest owner must comment on the masterlist to initiate the transfer of the character(s).
DESIGN
- Please note that creatures in this universe are closed species, so you cannot create your own without permission.
- Please don't claim another person's adoptable design or artwork as your own, unless it is a MYO (Make Your Own) creation.
- Please don't claim the species as your own, and if possible, please credit the link to the world.
- Please refrain from heavily referencing other people's wishlists or collages.
- No copyrighted themes are allowed.
- Please don't try to create designs that are similar to other people's designs out of spite.
- Do not try to get designs approved from other closed species, adopts, or other OCs that you don't own the design of.
- Please do not create unofficial customs for others.
- Please do not heavily reference video game/TV show characters.
- Lastly, please do not copy the color palettes of other people's OCs to make designs that are clearly based off of their characters. If it is a completely unique design that is not similar in any way to another character, we may let it slide.
